Rafael Luis Perez Cuéllar

Mr. Pérez Cuéllar graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 1961 with his thesis, Novation as cause for the extinction of obligations.

 

He was partner of Pérez-Cuéllar y Tejado Casis and later founded his own firm, Pérez-Cuéllar Abogados, specialized in commercial, civil, familiar and bankruptcy litigation.

 

An active participant in different forums and conferences organized by the Judiciary and the Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, he is also author of the book, La acción separatoria de bienes en los Concursos Mercantiles (México, Editorial Bosch, 2015), and has written several articles for journals and specialized publications.

 

He was a member of the Civil Law, Commercial Law, and Bankruptcy Law Commissions of the Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados since 1964 and served as secretary for such institution. 

 

Mr. Pérez Cuéllar is currently a member of the Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados de México, as part of its Civil Law and Constitutional Law Commissions. He recently was recognized for his more than 50 years of professional practice.
