Civil, family, and commercial litigation

Litigation is a dispute between two parties that cannot come to an agreement and resort to court to reach a settlement.

The dispute is thus submitted to the decision of judges through a process that comprises different stages. Once the judge has issued a sentence, it may be appealed through the means of defense provided by Mexican law.

Commercial litigation refers to controversies of commercial nature, including:

Civil litigation refers to conflicts between individuals, such as:

  • Legal damages

  • Civil liability

  • Mortgage foreclosure

  • Lease disputes

  • Property and possession rights

Finally, family litigation concerns issues such as:
